Venmo & Cash App Instruction
*SharePoint Credit Union does not have an affiliation with Venmo or Cash App. The instructions below are a guide to help you set up your bank account with either app. If you need further assistance with the apps, we recommend reaching out to Venmo or Cash App for support. Please use these apps responsibly, do not accept or send money to anyone you do not know.
Adding a Bank Account to Venmo
- Download the Venmo App.
- Create an account.
- Click under "me" profile tab.
- Scroll down and click "Add a Bank or Card."
- Three drop downs will appear click "Bank."
- Click "Verify Bank Manually Instead."
- Enter your routing and account number.
- You must verify two small deposits Venmo will send to your account, which will take 1-3 business days. These are rules set by Venmo, Not SharePoint CU.
- When you receive the Venmo deposits into your SharePoint CU account, go back to Venmo and select the "Me" tab.
- Click on the account you have linked.
- Click "verify" and enter the deposit amounts.
Adding Bank Account to Cash App
- Download Cash App.
- Create an account.
- Click on your profile image located on the top right-hand corner.
- Scroll down to "Account & Settings" click on "Linked Banks"
- Click on "Linked Debit Card" proceed, and enter your debit card information.
- Click submit and you debit card is automatically enrolled.
- You can also link to a Credit Card, but it will charge you a 3% fee per transaction. Rules set by Cash App, Not SharePoint CU.
