Person-to-Person Payments (P2P)
SharePoint Credit Union offers free P2Ppayments, allowing you to easily pay someone using either their email or mobile number, instead of using checks or sharing account information. It is a fast, secure payment option from your personal SharePoint CU Checking account.* Simply set up a payee within Online Banking initially, and then pay them anytime, within Online and Mobile Banking.
Setting up Person-to-Person Transfer:
- Log into Online or Mobile Banking.
- On the dashboard, locate the "Bill Pay" tab on the left-hand side (if it's not visible, click the two arrows ">>" to expand the menu).
- Select the menu bar (three lines next to the words Bill Pay Dashboard).
- Select "Accounts and Personal Payee."
- Select "Add a Person"
- Enter the persons name and email or mobile number.
- Re-enter the persons email or mobile number.
- Click Save.
- The person will be sent an invitation to create a User ID and enter their banking information.
- Once the persons banking information is added you will be able to send them money.
- The recipient will now be available in the "To" drop down in the center dialogue as a payee.
*Timing is dependent on when the recipient completes the verification process. P2P is not available on Business accounts. Up to $250 can be sent daily through P2P.
