Youth Programs

SharePoint Credit Union offers two exciting programs specifically for our younger members. Kirby Kangaroo Club and CU Succeed are entertaining and educational interactive programs that are designed to involve and educate our valuable younger members. These programs will help teach money management in a fun, educational environment.

Kirby Kangaroo Club

The Kirby Kangaroo Club is designed for members ages 5-12. Members play games, read stories and even color through our interactive website at http://www.kirbykangaroo.com. Club members receive a special Kirby Kangaroo Club Card and Club Savings Passbook to record their deposits and withdrawals. And, when Club members visit a SharePoint Credit Union branch location to make a deposit, they'll be able to choose a special reward as an added incentive for saving money. Who knew saving money could be so fun?

CUSucceed

CUSucceed is tailored to our teen members, ages 13-18. CUSucceed members learn all about financial products and services and gain insight on news and information important to them including: tips on how to get into college, methods on how to establish and maintain good credit, the different affects that your credit rating has on your life, how a credit card works and strategies on saving money. Members can access their own customized website and access their Account online through Internet Banking. Other products offered to youth in the CU Succeed program include:

• Coverdell Education Savings account (CESA)- Make saving for college a little easier with the benefits that accompany a CESA
• Certificates of Deposit with a $500 minimum amount
• Savings Bonds
• Checking account (available to members ages 13+, required co-applicant)
• MasterCard Debit Card (also available to ages 13+, required co-applicant)

CUSucceed Members also benefit from our periodic seminars designed to teach the skills necessary to make financial decisions. Members will have access to courses like:

• How to Balance a Checkbook
• How to Retire Rich
• How Will I pay for College
• How to buy a Car
